The name Tanâvar means “which enlivens the body”, “effect-inducing..." (be tan jân âvarad). There are three types of Tanâvar, labelled I, II, and III, as well as purely instrumental forms.
“Where could there be, O my soul, a beloved woman that is dearer than you?
As I saw your face, fresh as a rose, my soul got trapped in your garden
May God allow me to keep your love as long as my souls will remain in my heart
As for me, wherever I am, my heart is with you
The fire of passion suddenly ignited my soul
But who cares? The wealth of this world does not matter for me anymore
My heart is filled with blood like the cup of a tulip
But wherever I am, my heart is with you.”
